Week 3: The contributions of neuroscience in education
The seminar about educative environments provided extremely important information for us as future teachers because for being a good teacher is necessary to have knowledge about how the brain works in order to understand better the learning processes of the students. According to what Silvia Castro said learning is a physical process because the neurons of our brain have connections during all our lives, but learning is also a process based on experiences, and rich and proper environments stimulate these connections. This means that experiences control the way our brain behaves. As the Costa Rican philosopher Helio Gallardo said we cheat on our brain because what we perceive with our senses is not necessarily what it is real, so every brain is different and make its particular connections according to each human being experiences. Therefore, as teachers we have to work on making each experience in the classroom significant enough to help the students to get the knowledge. Recent neurological studies show us how the brain process the old and new information, so we have to plan very carefully how we are going to expose the information to our students to make easier for them to get the information, processed, make connections with previous knowledge, understand it, and finally keep it in their long term memory to continue using it.

I do agree with you Silvia, But sometime professors don not care if they student learn as much as they have to. However some institution specially publics institutions don not have enough sources to let the students improve they knowledge
